Welcome to Chesterton Primary School
It is an immense privilege to welcome you to Chesterton Primary School, and I feel incredibly proud to be the new Headteacher of such a wonderful school and to lead our fantastic, dedicated and hardworking team.
At Chesterton, we are immensely proud of our children and their achievements. From their academic successes to their creativity, sporting achievements, friendships and personal development, our children continually make us proud. We are particularly delighted by their recent achievements across the school and look forward to celebrating many more successes together.
Our motto, ‘Growing Together, Learning Together,’ captures what we believe makes Chesterton so special. We want every child to feel happy, safe, valued and a genuine sense of belonging. Our staff work tirelessly to create an inclusive and engaging curriculum that enables every child to flourish, whatever their starting point or individual needs. We encourage our children to grow in confidence, develop independence and discover the strategies they need to succeed, whilst nurturing a positive attitude towards learning and a belief in themselves.
We believe that school should be an exciting place where children are inspired to learn, encouraged to try new things and supported to become happy, confident and compassionate young people. Through our engaging curriculum, vibrant extra-curricular opportunities and strong focus on wellbeing, we provide children with opportunities to discover their talents, develop their interests and celebrate their achievements.
We are also incredibly proud of the strong partnerships we have with our families and the wider community. We aim to be an open, friendly and welcoming school where parents and carers feel valued, listened to and comfortable speaking to us. We work hard to keep our doors open and to be available to families whenever possible, recognising that the very best outcomes for children are achieved when school and home work closely together.
Most importantly, Chesterton is a place where children belong. It is a place where friendships flourish, confidence grows, talents are discovered and achievements are celebrated. Every child is known, valued and encouraged to be the very best version of themselves.
